Ianfu is a term for women who entertain Japanese soldiers, and are then placed in Japanese military brothels. During the Japanese colonization in Indonesia, many women felt injustice from Japanese soldiers. This research is focused on the sexual harassment phenomenon that happened to many Indonesian women by the Japanese military. This harassment is seen as discrimination, and the factors that are felt by these ianfu can only be explored from going through their own felt experiences. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method in order to explain a situation at a certain time. The data collection method is done through looking at various documents, literature study, in-depth interviews, and other sources. The analysis is done using the phenomenology theory, muted group theory, and self-disclosure theory.
