This study aims to explore the application of communication repair that arise during the interaction of non-verbal autistic students (limited verbal), with teachers in schools. By observing the interaction of students and teachers as well as interviews with teachers, researcher found that the type of communication disorders that often arise during the interaction of non-verbal autistic students and teachers in the schoolsarerequesting clarification, no acknowledgment, and topic shift. The repair communication strategies applied to overcome the barriers includingrepetition, recasting word, additioning sentences or other signalsand no response strategy. Some challenges that still present in this condition are concentration and attention of students which tend to be short, as well as emotionally unstable and obsessive behavior. These barriers often encountered in teaching and learning activities in schools, thus affecting their communication behaviors.
