Media freedom in Indonesia is not a new thing. Since May 1998, the democracy became the beginning of press freedom in here. Based on Press Laws (UU Pers No. 40/1999), Indonesia has Social Responsibility Press as the Press System. Yet, freedom of the press is being limited by the ethical regulation implemented. Code of ethics is a collection of values that made from a given profession, by, and for the profession itself based on the size of the conscience of the profession. This research focuses in the violation of journalistic code of ethic done by some of the electronic media in the case of sexual harassment in kindergarten students of Jakarta International School that happen recently and also the function of DewanPers (The Press Council) related to the implementation of Journalistic Code of Ethic in Indonesia.
