Proudly announce that our lecturer, Mr. Rudi Sukandar, Ph.D as delegates The 2019 Ministerial Level Workshop on Mainstream Media Development was held 20-29 August 2019 in Beijing and Qingdao, China. The Meeting was attended by 13 participants from seven countries, namely the Philippines, Ghana, Indonesia, Myanmar, the Dominican Republic, Sri Lanka, and Suriname. Most participants were representatives of ministries and universities related to media and information in their respective countries. The workshop activities are divided into three parts, namely seminars, visits, and cultural workshops.

The seminar discussed Chinese history, media development in China, and Chinese media technology. The seminar also discussed the experiences of each country in media development and discussed cooperation between countries and universities in the future.

Visitation activities were carried out at the China digital media technology exhibition at Beijing International Radio, TV & Film Equipment Exhibition (BIRTV) in Beijing, Chinese Government Media such as China Central Television (CCTV) in Beijing, private media such as QTV, QBS, and the Qingdao Daily Newspaper Group Industrial Co. in Qingdao, especially challenging the convergence media trend in China.

And then the participants become part in workshops that were sent to aspects of Chinese culture. Direct experience was given to the participants in several aspects of Chinese culture, such as traditional drinking ceremonies, making traditional ikat cloth, and exposure to Chinese pop culture in traditional film and music media.
